Andrew Briese is a chef, hospitality tech founder and industry educator who has spent more than 30 years working in and around commercial kitchens.

After completing a Bachelor of Business in Catering & Hotel Management, Andrew turned his own early struggles with food costs and numbers into a mission to help chefs better understand their businesses. That led to the creation of Cooking the Books (CTB),  kitchen management software built by a chef, for chefs, designed to bring greater control, clarity and profitability to hospitality operations.

Today, Andrew is part of The Culinary Group, bringing together his experience in hospitality technology, training and industry education. He works across Australia and internationally as a trainer, speaker, MC and hospitality advisor, sharing practical, straight-talking insights drawn from decades of first-hand experience.

Following the acquisition of CTB AND CO. by Quantaco, Andrew continues to work closely with chefs, operators and hospitality groups to develop smarter systems, improve profitability and help move the industry forward.

He’s been in the kitchen, felt the pressure and understands the numbers, and his mission is to help the next generation of hospitality professionals succeed.
