Caylie Field works for Dementia Australia as a Team Leader, providing education to healthcare staff to assist them in improving their skills, knowledge and confidence in their care of people living with dementia. Caylie comes from a Speech Pathology background with experience managing and delivering therapy services across acute, rehabilitation, community, disability and residential settings both in Australia and the UK. The last 14 years have focussed on supporting people living with dementia, their families and the staff who are working alongside them.
Caylie has a special interest in food, nutrition and the dining experience and, alongside this undertaking Dementia Enabling Environmental Audits to assist organisations with improving the lives of people living with dementia through changes to the environment. Caylie has had an active role in representing Dementia Australia in national projects such as the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission – Nutrition and Dining working/advisory group and Dementia Enabling Environments.
