Chef Mentor / Maggie Beer Foundation
Emma Lillie

Emma is a Chef Trainer with the Maggie Beer Foundation, supporting aged care chefs and cooks across Australia to build confidence, strengthen skills and create more enjoyable dining experiences for residents.

Emma brings a practical, hands-on approach to training. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside dietitians, clinicians and care teams to create meals that balance flavour and nutrition with choice and enjoyment.

Emma is passionate about helping aged care providers meet nutrition standards, while recognising that food is more than nutrition. She has led initiatives that have transformed dining experiences, including creating welcoming communal dining spaces that encourage connection and improve residents’ enjoyment of meals.

Drawing on her real-world experience in commercial kitchens and residential aged care, Emma shares practical strategies that aged care teams can implement immediately. Her engaging, collaborative style empowers chefs and cooks to embrace new ideas, build on their existing skills and make meaningful improvements to food and dining.

Emma believes every meal is an opportunity to bring comfort, dignity and joy to the lives of older people.
