With more than 30 years of leadership experience across tourism, destination development, business events, major events, sport and community engagement, Lorelle has held senior leadership roles in the visitor economy and events sectors, both in Australia and internationally, including in the United Kingdom and Canada.

As General Manager, Events for Brisbane Economic Development Agency (BEDA), Lorelle leads Brisbane’s Business Events and Major Events portfolios, driving strategies that attract major conferences, sporting events and cultural experiences that generate economic growth, create local jobs and enhance Brisbane’s global profile.

Throughout her career, Lorelle has worked across destination marketing, event attraction and delivery, tourism development and stakeholder engagement, bringing together industry, government and community partners to create lasting economic and social impact.

Lorelle has played a key role in Brisbane’s visitor economy growth, helping shape strategies and initiatives that have strengthened the city’s reputation as a world-class destination and contributed to record visitation and expenditure outcomes. Through her leadership across tourism, business events and major events, she has helped position Brisbane to capitalise on major investment, global events and increased international attention.

With Brisbane now on the pathway to Brisbane 2032, Lorelle is passionate about helping industry prepare for the opportunities ahead and ensuring the city’s hospitality, events and visitor economy sectors are well positioned to create a lasting legacy for Brisbane, its businesses and its community.
