Australian chef Peter Kuruvita’s culinary journey began in his grandmother’s traditional Sri Lankan kitchen in Colombo, inspiring his lifelong passion for food. After migrating to Australia in 1974, he trained in Sydney and gained experience in renowned European kitchens—including Michelin-starred venues in London—before returning to launch Sydney’s iconic Flying Fish in 2004. In 2013, he opened the beloved Noosa Beach House, and more recently created the multi-faceted Alba Noosa in 2021, combining a restaurant, bar, pizzeria, providore, and cooking school. Across four decades, Peter has expanded his career as a restaurateur, TV presenter, cookbook author, culinary tour leader, and consultant. He lives with his family in Noosa, embracing a life filled with food, family, and coastal living.
