Robert Comiskey is a co-founder and Director of the Comiskey Group, an award-winning, Queensland-based family business with strategic operations spanning hotels, resorts, entertainment, and construction. Holding an Advanced Diploma of Architecture, Rob began his career in construction management for global franchise Subway before joining forces with his father, developer Paul Comiskey, and brother, engineer David Comiskey, to form the Comiskey Group in 2004.
Since then, Rob has overseen the delivery of numerous projects including shopping and commercial centres, subdivisions, hotels, restaurants, residential dwellings, and even childcare centres. Today, he leads top-level management and steers the day-to-day operations of the group’s hotels and resorts.
Under Rob’s direction, the Comiskey Group has become renowned for creating world-class entertainment experiences, most notably at the iconic Eatons Hill Hotel and Sandstone Point Hotel. The company has also expanded into premium accommodation, building and operating Sandstone Point Holiday Resort — the highest-selling holiday park within the BIG4 Holiday Parks nationwide network.
The group continues to diversify and grow, with recent ventures including The Doonan on the Sunshine Coast, the acquisition of The Imperial Hotel in Eumundi, and the opening of Dakabin Hotel in Moreton Bay. Future developments include activating the 180-hectare Coochin Fields festival site, constructing the Aura Hotel in Caloundra — set to be the Sunshine Coast’s largest hotel and live music venue — and delivering a $250 million accommodation expansion at Sandstone Point.
With a diverse portfolio, visionary leadership, and a proven track record, Rob and his fellow directors continue to position the Comiskey Group as one of South East Queensland’s most dynamic and influential developers.
